Included here are selected photographs from the Wide Open Town History Project records (collection #2003-05). Wide Open Town is Nan Alamilla Boyd’s groundbreaking history of queer San Francisco to 1965. Photographs highlight Mona Sargent’s clubs, including Mona’s 440, and lesbian nightlife.
