Thanks to Hank: A Celebration of the Life and Work of Hank Wilson
The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Historical Society is sponsoring "Thanks to Hank," a memorial celebration for "activist's activist" Hank Wilson on Saturday, December 6, at the Eureka Valley Recreation Center at 100 Collingwood St. (at 18th St.), in the Castro neighborhood, from 2:30 to 5:00 PM.

GLBT Historical Society Archives Featured in Milk Film
Attendees at last night’s MILK movie premiere at the Castro Theater in San Francisco were treated to an uncannily accurate portrayal of San Francisco scenes from the 1970s, many of which were based on items from the archives of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender (GLBT) Historical Society.

Maupin and Activist Groups to be Honored by the GLBT Historical Society
Author Armistead Maupin and two groups of activists who coordinated the fight against the 1978 Briggs Initiative will receive the 2008 Walker Award at the annual GLBT Historical Society Gala event on October 9.
